Hi, My name is Toni Visser. I am going into my fourth year at York University to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. I have vast experience working with the adults and especially the elderly. I am passionate about the care I provide and am comfortable working closely with clients and their families to determine what is best for everyone. I can also perform light house-keeping duties (as I like things clean) and have first-aid and CPR training at a healthcare professional level. I am pleasant, easy-going, and am able to build long-lasting relationships with clients I care for. As a nursing student, the majority of my experience has included care for the elderly. I am comfortable with providing and assisting in morning routines, bathing, mobility, supervision of medication intake, and more. Since the population of North America is aging due to the 'baby boomers,' all of my classes and placement experiences emphasize the importance of being knowledgable in co-morbid and chronic conditions, all forms of dementia, and mobility issues.
