Less expensive than an attorney, I can help elders with forms, contracts, bank, medical and legal tasks. For elders who want to continue living at home but need help with organization, bill-paying, and other in-home management tasks; and for family members who want the peace of mind of knowing that your elder has someone keeping an eye on things. I am a former executive for a Fortune 5 firm, skilled at contracts and finance management. I also shepherded the affairs of elders in my own family through VA applications, doctor appointments, insurance, home safety modifications, and a myriad of other tasks. I can help elders stay in their homes longer through the following: - Bank management and bill-paying - Legal arrangements, at less cost than an attorney (simple living wills, powers of attorney, etc can easily be done) - Advising when an attorney DOES need to be consulted - Contracting for home safety modifications (wider doors, repairs, safety bars) - Helping with Veteran's and other applications - Setting up services such as lifeline - Assisting with setup of doctors appointments - Checking on elders and apprising adult children of status - Setting up meal and grocery deliveries - organizing homes or paperwork, donating to goodwill, sorting through paperwork I have a sliding scale based on client's income and need, and guarantee satisfaction. My normal rate is $100 per hour but MENTION ELDERCARE..... for a rate of $50 (plus a 30% discount for those with low incomes---and I will also take on a limited amount of pro bono work for those in true need). I am happy to work with adult children to set up support services to maximize their elder's independence.
