hello, My name is Kelsey i work as a PSW for a long term care home. i enjoy assisting and taking care of the elderly. i have currently completed my third year of the BScN program and have been working in gerontology for the past three years. i have my CPR, criminal records check and have my up to date vaccinations I currently work as a PSW within a collaborative multidiscipline healthcare team to provide the highest standard of care to the residents of the facility.I am responsible to assist in morning and evening care, including bathing, toileting, dressing, transforming and accompanying the residents to meals..... respond to call bells, codes or alarms in a timely and organized manner. Assist in catheter and colostomy care.Help with serving meals and feeding residents as it is needed. To develop and maintain professional relationships with the residents and their family members that protects and promotes their dignity and autonomy.
