Elder Care in Raymond, Alberta

Hello, I have a genuine interest in working with seniors as they are to me very interesting and special people. I feel they should be treated with dignity and respect. If you get to know them they have very interesting stories to tell of which I love to listen to. I have more than 10 years of experience as a HCA. I have worked at the U of A hospital on the Trauma unit, as well I floated on GSICU and the Burns unit for more than 6 years. Before that i worked in long term care for over 6 years as well. I am at this time looking for a new place to live, and Raymond would be a nice choice for me am my mom used to live in Raymond so I am very familiar with Raymond and it has been like a second home to me. I also worked many years ago in Lethbridge at Good Samaritans and at Extendicare both places working with seniors. I have worked with seniors with Dementia and Alzheimers and in Palliative care as well. I know my experience will be as asset in my abilities to care for your family member, and you as family will be able to feel comfortable while they are in my care. While working at Good Samaritans I did administer medications but not narcotics, Insulin or any meds given by needle. but I would be willing to take the course of medication administration. I feel I have a lot to offer with a genuine love and caring attitude for seniors. I have a vehicle so taking your mother to appointments would be no problem. As well housekeeping and cooking would be fine as well. Her physical therapy, dressing needs and intellectual needs would also be cared for as well.
