Hello Families! I am very excited to become a potential support worker for you. I currently hold a full-time position at a large charitable organization based in Ontario that specializes in supporting children, adults, and seniors living with developmental disabilities. I am looking to provide support for other people within my city\'s community a few times each week. I am passionate about taking a holistic approach to my job and tailoring my support approach based on the individual needs and wants of each person. I also make an effort to foster more involvement in the communities of people I support. I have been given many opportunities to learn and grow within my organization, including being one of twelve involved in a Leadership Development Seminar offered annually. I am very excited to be able to utilize the skills that I have been developing to provide support for your family members. I can\'t wait to hear from you! Erin I have been working with individuals living with developmental disabilities on a full-time basis for one year. My role consists of supporting each person on an individual basis with their daily living tasks as well as supporting them in achieving their long term goals. My experience thus far has mostly been with adults who are living with disabilities and have high levels of anxiety which can manifest itself into highly aggressive behaviour. My duties include: Medication administration, supporting individuals with intimate personal care (showering, bathing, colostomy care, general hygiene, etc.), supporting individuals within the community, food preparation, implementation of comprehensive care plans, etc.
