Elder Care in Ottawa, Ontario

Hello. I am an IEN (internationally educated nurse) who resides in Ottawa seeking part-time employment in caring for senior citizens. I prioritize safety and comfort among my clients. You see, unlike the young to middle-aged, older adults need additional and/or modified care related to their advancing age. Change is inevitable, so healthcare providers like myself deem it necessary to raise the level of the client\'s health and prevent its deterioration. If not possible, maintain and incrementally improve their conditions. My trainings include standard first aid & CPR by the Philippine Red Cross and basic phlebotomy with bloodborne pathogens by the American Safety and Health Institute. My clinical experiences include nursing care of the chronically ill & the older person in the gerontology unit, community, urology and oncology units at Region 1 Medical Center and other provincial hospitals. I had also spent 102 hours during my affiliation in psychiatric wards: National Center for Mental Health and Mariveles Mental Hospital.
