Hello, I\'m a patient, caring, and friendly person. I\'m easy to work with and form close relationships with my employers. I have cared for my elderly mother for over 10 years and have been volunteering at an elderly home since 1997. I have lived in Montreal almost 20 years and have decided to go back to school to get my bachelors degree. I am doing my degree in human relations and the work we are doing in the class is heavily related to working with and caring for other people. During the summer months I will not be taking any classes and would love to work with a family helping to lend some companionship and care for older family members. I love reading, music, and going for walks. The work experience I have volunteering doing CLSC in NDG includes assisting seniors in their homes, helping seniors with their personal care including bathing, dressing and feeding, accompanying seniors to the bank, grocery store and their medical appointments, ensuring that seniors took their medication and notifying CLSC when needed, preparing meals and doing light house work, as well as providing companionship and active listening.
