Elder Care in Carleton Place, Ontario

Hello! My name is Darcie, and I am a Practical Nursing student at Algonquin College. This program has opened my eyes to caring for Seniors and helping to promote independence. I have completed clinicals in places such as the Perley Rideau and Veteran\'s Health Centre and Villa Marconi. It was there that I assumed the role as a Personal Support Worker, and helped with dressing, caring and helping to complete activities of daily living. I am an enthusiastic, respectful addition to any family in need, and always love hearing the stories my Senior friends have to share! As a Practical Nursing student, I have successfully completed many clinical rotations at Long term care facilities. Some examples of places I have worked at would be Villa Marconi, Perley Rideau and Veterans' Health Centre, and the General Hospital in the Mother-Baby Unit.
