Mrs G was 85 years old and she suffered from Advanced Parkinson’s disease. She was wheel chair bound was diagnosed as having osteoporosis. I was hired for the night shift which started at 6.30pm and ended in the morning 8.00am. My duties included preparing and feeding her the evening meal. She could only eat purred food and I used mini food processor to prepare it. I moved her from the wheel chair to the specially made living room chair I so that she could watch TV with her husband. She went to bed at 8.00 and at this time I carried out toilet duties and propped her up in bed. I changed her bed position at least once during the night and often she would ask to use the washroom. In the morning I gave her a full bath and administered medication.
