My focus is providing comprehensive in-home care that enriches clients lives and helps them maintain the highest possible level of independent living. I can bring a different and greater/higher meaning of what Care-Giving is really about to the care family and the care recipient. I am known for treating people like people, Not a process... The process in which the new medical system and its counterparts have created. The process and system is tireless and daunting. For the past 13 years I have assisted families in keeping their loved ones in their homes, safely. I have worked as a consultant with clients and their families. Worked one on one in the home as a caregiver/personal assistant, travel outing companion and or have provided use of my care team to help provide more beneficial services, like 24/7 care, safely in the home. Safety ALWAYS comes first! Since Covid-19 all care recipients, their friends and families must also follow strict mandatory protocols for the safety of everyone. We are all in this ToGether! I have strong knowledge and experience in assisting ill, elderly/adult with neurological disorders and disabled people in the home. I can efficiently carry out all Elderly Companion Care services that include daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, hygiene assistance, errands and shopping, and of course, companionship; I have also worked in several homes of clients and family members as a professional Private Care Giver and I also possess the experience of caring for patients in a residential care facility; ARCH. Here is a summary of the services I have had the honor to offer my clients through my years of care giving. Non-medical, private duty home care and a variety of special caring and supportive services: Provides input and direct participation in the clients Individual Service Plan (ISP) and care plan Assists in implementing meaningful, educational/recreational age appropriate activities which contribute positively to the mental, physical, social, intellectual and emotional development of client Gives client a choice in the activities and encourage participation of those which are of interest to them by interacting in a positive manner Assists client to achieve their personal level of independence through self help, advocacy, and social skill training Reacts appropriately to challenging behaviors by using positive behavior supports, working to understand these behaviors and support alternative communications- Including: War and Health related Post traumatic Stress Disorder, Severe Depression, Severe Anxiety, Bipolar, Psychological and Psychiatric issues; Sun Downers Syndrome, Parkinson's, All Stages of Dementia and Alzheimer's Compassionate Care for the Invisible wounds of our military men and women; Including: Psychological and Neurological Injuries due to war Assistance with daily living activities: am, afternoon, pm care; Engage in daily activities and hobbies; Ambulatory care; Exercise, daily range of motion etc Assist in taking clients outside their home or place of living. To help stimulate their mental mindset, provide enriching activities in a social setting (with covid, safety protocols in place at all times) Personal care/hygiene assistance: Thural bathing, performing bed bath, dressing/undressing and grooming (including skin/nail care, oral hygiene, perennial care, hair care, shaving, etc) Arthritis Alleviation Foot care for Diabetics Blood Glucose monitoring Taking of all vital signs Documentation of all activities/changes/daily happenings/meds etc Monitor food and liquid input and output Monitor client and report any changes Collect samples for testing Medication reminders Assisting with mobility-walking Assisting with transfers-to bed, wheel chair, chair, or other mobile device Transferring using Hoyer or Mechanical Lift Repositioning client in bed/chair Light housekeeping and laundry Errands and Shopping with or without the client Personal assistance with making appointments, correspondence, collecting newspaper, mail, caring for indoor and outdoor plants Personal assistance with clients bill pay, banking and other personal needs Personal assistance in party planning, taking trips off the island, purchasing gifts/flowers for birthdays/holidays Personal assistance in taking care of gardeners, house cleaners, window cleaners, pool cleaners, pond maintenance pay and informing them what needs to be done on the property Inventory of clients household needs Trash/Hoarding removal from house Assisted in gardening and routine maintenance on house Organizing a clients house Assisted clients with moving Assisted clients with downsizing their living space I also provide assistance with all animals in clients home Watering of house plants Trips and Outings with client Bed Baths/Showering Exercise Companion Walking Companion Hospital Companionship Doctors Visits Meal planning, preparation and feeding Monitor special diets Diet/Nutrition care Holistic Wellness/Health Coaching Transformation Life Coaching Consulting Families Managing Careteams at Clients houses Recovery Care Companionship/Friendship Emotional support End of Life Care/Hospice Care Respite care for family members 24hr care 24/7 Multiple Shift Care Hourly Care (with a 4 hr min)(2hr is possible depending on needs of client) Overnight, On Call, Emergency, Temporary or Long-Term Care Care while on Vacation in the islands Some Weekends and Most Holidays I have also assisted families after the passing of a loved one, with funeral assistance, selling/packing up/estate sales/donating loved ones belongings We are up front, honest, capable, dependable, trainable and extremely trustworthy.
