Elder Care in Sandy Hook, Connecticut

Hi! My name is Tess, and I live in Sandy Hook and I am a sophomore at Naugatuck Valley Community College, and am majoring in an undecided healthcare field. I have experience in both companionship and care, as my grandmother required round the clock attention as she reached her senior years. I am able to assist in the administration of medications, assist with bathing, cooking, cleaning, etc. I also have specific experience with dementia, as my grandmother lived with cardiovascular dementia as well as cancer, COPD, and a few other diseases. I love creativity and outdoor adventures. I currently work full time at an equine veterinary practice in Newtown. I am also a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Sandy Hook Fire Department. In my down time, I care for my ex-racehorse named Elliott. I love all animals and enjoy being surrounded by them. My diverse experience has given me a multitude of skills that I apply to each situation and environment I find myself in, namely compassion and resilience.
