Summary: Hello my name is Christopher, I am a 45 year old caucasian male. I am available as a personal care provider / companion / personal driver to help either yourself or a member of your family who may need some assistance with daily personal care and transportation. I am in the Snellville, Georgia area, however I am willing to travel within 15-20 miles if necessary and for the right person. Although most of my experience providing personal care has been primarily with children, I am sure my skills will cross over to elder care as well. Description of Skills: I am trained in C.P.R. / administering emergency care in the case of an accident or injury and I am experienced with several types of physical therapy, to be clear, I am not a physical therapist, but I am able to help you follow the instructions of a doctor or physical therapist in the interest of regaining, improving or maintaining your physical health and well being. I am happy to help with administering medications taken orally or by injection as needed as well as providing safe and on time rides to and from doctors appointments (or other types of appointments), transportation for the purpose of visiting with friends and family, taking them to the store and help with shopping, being a friendly person to lean on or to listen or just to talk, I am comfortable with supporting people who have some intellectual disabilities and I can help them with getting things done around the house if needed. Further, I have a drivers license / clean driving record and I am experienced as a personal chauffeur (private driver / guide). I have over five years of experience assisting with the care of medically fragile people, and I have eight years of experience as a personal chauffeur. I believe in being open and honest, treating people with respect and dignity, always being patient and trying to understand or learn what others might be feeling. If someone is upset, sad, frustrated or angry, there is probably (usually but not always) a reasonable explanation for it and I feel that good communication is the key to any successful relationship be it for work or interpersonal.
