Elder Care in Syracuse, New York

I am an licensed practical nurse looking for a private duty job in or around Syracuse, New York. I am currently working on a medical surgical floor in a hospital. I work daily with patients that have a variety of chronic illnesses, such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, acute and chronic kidney failure. I have experience working with palliative and hospice care patients in assisting them with end of life comfort measures. I also have experience with tracheostomy care, colostomy care, chronic foley catheters, as well as suprapubic catheters and tube feedings. My daily routine with patients include assisting with hygiene and ambulation, feeding patients, changing simple or complex dressings and medication administration. I am working diligently to complete the Onondaga Community College RN program as of March 2015. I would like to work approximately 25-30 hours a week and would be able to work weekends as well.
