Elder Care in Ventura, California

I have hands on experience with people suffering from Alzheimer's dementia as well as Parkinson's. I have provided the following as a live in care giver: Meal preparation, house keeping, laundry, bathing, helping with dressing/undressing, schedueling Doctor appointments as well as taking them to & from doctors appointments. Preparation of weekly schedules of family friends & outings ( parks, movies, walks on beach, etc..) I feel keeping a person active with friends & family is important for happiness. To often the elderly are pushed into the background and forgotten about. I'm hear to bring joy fun & happiness along with structure. I like to be involved 100% with the person who I am caring for as well as have a good involvement with the family. I am 42 years old. I have a 21 year old daughter who lives in Alabama and is in the Army National Guard. I have lost all my family members. I wish I could have been there to care for my elder parents when they needed it. Due to out of state living. That was not an option. I am so thankful for the caretaker who kept me up to date daily and became part of the family.
