Elder Care in Nacogdoches, Texas

Hello, I recently relocated to Nacogdoches from the Dallas area. My last position in Dallas was as a live in caregiver for a 94 year old widow who suffered from dementia as well as other health issues. I did the grocery shopping, cooked meals, managed his meds, transported him to his many doctor's appointments and managed his property and possessions. I found the work to be very rewarding for both me and him. He wanted to stay in his home until the end and did not wish to be relegated to an assisted living facility. He taught me many things in our year together and I am thankful for our time together. My passion is cooking and I have experience cooking for families and introducing them to new, fresher alternatives to meals. I also am an avid gardener and grew much of my own food in my garden in Dallas. Collecting cookbooks, gardening, reading and sewing are some of my interests.
