I am seeking the challenge of a Home Care Aide or Certified Nurse Aide being that I am a highly talented and an experienced female with a huge heart in caring for the elderly and handicapped persons in the community. I bring to your loved ones the following attributes and extensive experience: ** More than 20 years of working in the medical field both in the hospital, nursing home and in the residence. ** Superb ability to work independently and work with the families decisions. ** Strong ability to work hard at everything I do. ** Excellent communication and listening skills. ** The ability to observe and make accurate records. ** To show true friendship and dignity at all time. I am specially trained in many areas of home care services and can also provide household duties that include but not limited to: ** Administer prescribed oral medications under written direction of physician or as directed by family. ** Change dressings ** Check patients' pulse, temperature and respiration. ** Direct patients in simple prescribed exercises and in the use of braces and artificial limbs. ** Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations to family or caretaker. ** Provide patients with transfers in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing and grooming. ** Accompany clients to doctors' offices and on other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship. ** Care for children who are disabled or who have sick or disabled parents. ** Change bed linens, wash and iron patients' laundry, and clean patients' homes. ** Entertain, converse with, and read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert. ** Perform a variety of duties as requested by client, such as obtaining household supplies and running errands. ** Plan, purchase, prepare, and serve meals to patients and other family members, according to prescribed diets. ** Provide patients and families with emotional support and instruction in areas such as elderly care, preparing healthy meals, independent living, and adaptation to disability or illness.
