Services provided in last position: services and care giving for a terminal ALS patient who needed total care. Tasks included: all personal care (bathing, personal hygiene); administering medication and supplements; preparing liquid nutrition formula to administer via g-tube; performing suction to keep airways clear; cleaning ventilator; communicating and interpreting communication from patient to others; keeping extensive records to assure accuracy and timeliness of care; handling transfer of patient from bed to wheelchair, accompanying on doctor visits; long walks with patient in wheelchair throughout the neighborhood; performed physical therapy exercises every day as required. In addition, performed many household tasks to assist the family, including laundry, housecleaning and vacuuming, keeping birdfeeders filled, fountain cleaned, windows washed, and looking after family pets.
