Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

Dear Madam/ Sir I am Babita Mishra from Kathmandu Nepal. My friends call me Bobby. I am originally from Birgunj, the southern part of our country. We were living in a big family. I have been living here, in capital city for last eight years. I am married and I have one lovely princess. She is eleven years old. My husband is working in a private company. I have completed my bachelor degree from commerce stream in 2008. Moreover, I am fond of listening music, having chocolate, shopping, spending time to talking elder and helpless people. I prefer to visit old age home for feeding them especially on Aunsi (It is especial day for elder people. We believe if we do so our forefather will have meal at the heaven.) According to our community. In addition, I always ready to handle the situation regarding elder problem. When I could not handle the situation then I will refer the case on the right way to the capable authority person after diagnosis the exact problem. I have experience of all the things about elder care at my home first. Because my mother is so close of mine and she is a patient of blood sugar, arthritis, blood pressure and cholesterol. So, she is always in problem like sometime paining leg, sometime high sugar, pressure, cholesterol. I had to give her oil massage twice in a week when I was in her home. I had to take care of her medicine and watch whatever she ate. I used to force her to do regular yoga and morning walk regularly. I sent her timely in bed at night and told her woke up on early in the morning for her good health. Personally I think I can handle the situation without hesitating because I have good knowledge and experience in my entire life which is very handy in every step of life. Firstly, I worked as an OPD Assistant in a hospital, named Advance Medicare Hospital & Research Institute Ltd. for more than 10 years at Birgunj, Nepal. In that job I have to measure blood pressure, weight, body temperature etc. I had to handle them psychologically whenever doctor didn’t come at their chamber. Secondly, I worked as a volunteer in an old age home, named Mudita Sewa Griha for more than 3 years at Lalitpur, Nepal after shifting capital city. Finally, I have been engaged in a private home as a caregiver for two senior citizens at Kathmandu, Nepal. To sum up, I believe that my experiences in a hospital as an OPD Assistant in a hospital; as a volunteer in an old age home and a caregiver in a private house will definitely lead me compared with others. Beside this, all this things became enjoy when I started to help my mother, father, mother-in-law & father-in-law at my home town. Your sincerely, Mrs. Babita Mishra
