Elder Care Job in Sitka, Alaska

An elderly resident of Sitka, AK with progressive dementia, needs a day care provider who can visit with her, in her home or theirs, for 1-2 hours each day. Currently, her son is caring for her 24/7, an arrangement that does not provide the best care for her and is stressful and exhausting for him. A patient and caring provider, with experience working with those with dementia, and who could spend time with her each day would be beneficial to her and to her son. Although there is a definite need for someone to clean and do housekeeping, these services are not required for this position. Alternatively, if you are interested in providing day care and housekeeping, additional work time would be possible. Salary and working hours are negotiable.
