Elder Care in Lady Lake, Florida

My last client suffered with dementia and anxiety. After several years of living on her own, her family decided to put her into a nursing home. She was also "legally" blind and had difficulty walking due to a hip injury. Below is a list of the things I did: *track and handle taking of medications, eye drops, etc. *make coffee *make lunch or heat up her meals on wheels lunch *make or heat up dinner *kept her company. She loved watching certain shows, so we'd just sit and gab about them *take her to her medical appointments *laundry, including bedding *tidy up bedroom and bathroom *pet care, she had two cats. I am not a nurse of any sort, but I do know how lonely it gets for someone and how nerve wracking it can be not knowing how your parents or grandparents are doing. She had a nurse for her personal care. I was just keeping her company, taking her to appointments, shopping, or just for a walk with her on her wheelchair. She got me addicted to daytime soaps!
