I am a home care worker with 23 plus years experience. I work with your family member to retain their utmost ability to remain as capable as possible for their circumstances. I have worked with physically challenged as well as Seniors with dementia. I have training in Alzhiemers care as well as many years experience with caring for clients of all ages in their homes enabling them to be more self sufficiant. I believe in "helping with", not "doing for" as this enables a person to remain as functional as they can for as long as they can. I have worked with people with a variety of challenges including but not limited to,quadrapalegic, Dementia, wheelchair transfering, Splints, Medications, Dyalisis assitance, Mechanical lifts. I will keep daily care journals for family members to help assist with the best line of care and with personal requests from family members if required. I prefer to work one on one as i believe this enhances the care given as i am able to learn the persons needs and wants and maintain them at the level required.
