I am 55 years old and am an accredited PSW with over 8 years of experience in all areas of senior care. I have work experience in nursing homes, community care as well as I have worked in live in positions. I have also completed courses in Dementia care as well as Palliative care. Over the past 8 years my training has included catheter & colostomy care as well as transfers with and without the use of hoyers and ceiling lifts. I can assist with feeding, bathing and bedside care as well as shopping, cooking and housekeeping. I like to be organized and keep family members updated on any changes. Having a good relationship with the family is very important to me. I really enjoy working with seniors and have been told that it is quite evident in my day to day work. A lot of my training was focused on teaching seniors how to maintain and/or regain their independence after a stroke, fall or surgery.
