Resume Summary: My name is Meghan. I am interviewing for a senior care provider work opportunity in Napanee or Kingston, Ontario area. I believe every older adult should be able to stay in their home as long as possible and remain connected to their community. I strive to be a hardworking employee to provide a supportive environment for the client and their families. I have a Bachelor in Nursing and I am a Recreational Therapist in Gerontology. I have experience in dementia care and enjoy working with this population. Description of Skills: My passion is recreational therapy and keeping the client actively engaged by focusing on their retained abilities. Depending on their mobility, this can be in the home or through outings. With my nursing background I can provide medication, meal and bathing assistance as needed. I will tailor my approach and care plan to the individual and their needs. I believe it is important to communicate with the client, family and others involved in their health care to provide the best care possible. I do have personal transportation available.
