Dear Sir or Madam: • I have many years of hands-on experience in working with elderly and persons with disabilities and special needs; I also have a great love for children. Children are the back bone of a society; they will be our leaders, doctors, engineers, teachers in the very near future. I see every person, including children, as very important citizens and part of now, and our future • I have good written and oral communication skills. • I have a passion for people of all ages, abilities, disabilities and needs. • This is what I would be able to bring to your family or facility. My philosophy on how I perceive every person regardless of age, abilities and disabilities. I believe every person has the ability to grow, to achieve, and to improve their life, regardless of their disabilities or age. I do not believe on focusing on any person’s disability or age or any other label that society puts on people. A label is like a lid on a treasure chest. In a treasure chest if we do not look past the lid we will never see the treasures inside. The same is with any label, including disabilities, I believe in looking past the labels and see the person, because every person has treasures of abilities and potentials that they can utilize to improve their lives and the lives of others, and so I believe that my job is to help the person to open that lid, and discover the vast amount of treasures hidden within. • I believe that life should be enjoyed and have meaning, and so I focus on how to bring joy and meaning to a person’s life, by being a listening ear to them, being there in the ups and downs, and everything in between, with respect and honor.
