Elder Care in Colville, Washington

Hello my name is Jordyn. I've always enjoyed being around the elderly I was raised by my grandma and grandpa and have always tagged along on they get together. Now instead of them taking care of me I help take care of them bit I also need a back up plan if they were to parish which I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon. They use to take me to the nursing home as a kid on the regular to see my gma gray, I've tapped dance there, shown dogs there and each time everyone who lives or lived there has alwaus made me feel so special like I belong there like I'm wanted there, like they enjoy my presence, they enjoy my being there and I feel appreciated.I'm actually welcome.I love hearing their stories, and how life was back when they were young I also love playing card games and like to make each individual feel special, especially if no one visits them because it's so sad to just dump somebody your suppose to love it sicknong to me really. I want to make the people that don't get a lot of visits or any for that matter to have someone to look forward to seeing every week, instead of the disappointment of waiting for nothing or nobody to show up. I know how my grandpa gets lost when my grandma isn't feeling well and sleeps . It changes his mood completely and it breaks my heart to see that and no one deserves to feel that way. I don't want anyone to have to feel that way it's sadding. I feel going and enteracting, playing games, reading my play a little viloin would make not only my day but everyone elses. I have a grandpa who has dementia so I have experience dealing with the behavior that comes with it in a calm and professional matter. I just want the elderly to feel like somebody cares before they pass instead of just sitting there waiting to die. I want to do anything my power to see the room filled with smiles, joy, and make people feel good, because every one deserves attention and to feeled cared for weather it's just chatting about the past, taking a stroll out side if possible, playing a card game or reading to them if they'd like. I just want everyone including the staff to enjoy themself each and every and make everyone feel good about them self because every one deserves to be happy and have a good time and hopefully if I get this job I can make that happen. I just want to interact with those who's dont have families or families that don't come see them, it's always been a dream of mine to keep those people company because in reality there probably the lonelest since I was little and my great grandma gray was in the nursing home it just seems so lonely in there and I want to try to fix that even if I have to go volunteer. It'd be worth my while to see the people I see smile
