I recently moved from Vancouver British Columbia. I have 12 years of hands on experience as a registered and certified Care Aide. I gained my knowledge and experience during my 12 years of employment with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority in British Columbia. I am Registered and Certified all across Canada. I graduated from Capilano University Residential/Home Support Certificate Program in May 2005. Shortly after I was hired by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority as Care Aide in various areas in July 2005. I have experience in all levels of care including but not limited to assisted living to intermediate care to complex care including people with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I have the knowledge and ability to work n communicate with each resident/client in all levels of care in a professional and caring manner. I have the knowledge n ability to assist with each individual's toileting needs, the use of urinals/bed pans incontinence products including the use/changing of catheter and colostomy bags. I work well on my own or as a team player. I can multi-task n follow directions for any Resident/Client based specific need as directed from The Team Leader/RN or Physician. I will treat your family member with the utmost respect before, during and after care. I will assist with their Activities of Daily Living, dressing, bathing, grooming, personal hygiene and meal assistance. I have knowledge and ability to demonstrate/ operate mechanical/ambulatory aides to safely assist each person to/from bed -W/C and/or toilet.
