Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

Caring is my passion and nature. Chester is a registered nurse back in the Philippines. He had recently completed a PSW program in Toronto and passed the NACC PSW certification exam. He is seeking for a full-time employment (from June 2015-August 2015) and part-time (September 2016-July 2017) to share his passion in caring for and helping others especially older people. His experiences are as follows: Elderly care He had cared for cognitively impaired clients with dementia and Alzheimer's mental challenges during his practicum in a long-term care facility and community placement. He assisted in personal care, grooming, feeding and activities of daily living while maintaining the client's dignity, independence, preference, privacy and security. He also dealt with various challenging situations keeping his professionalism in tact. He is committed in improving a person's overall well-being and health through personal care and energetic engagement. He also had worked in Thailand for more than five years in a healthcare setting. Child care He likes spending time with his family and bonding with his son (toddler) which also gave him the first-hand experience in child care from birth until today including personal care, feeding, bathing and activity planning. Home care He is currently working part-time at a hotel in Toronto as a house person and mini-bar attendant where he gained experience in housekeeping duties and organizational tasks involved in maintaining mini-bar items in guest rooms and updating sales. During his leisure time, he reads health and technology related articles, finds food recipes to try at home and bakes. He is a self-starter and loves learning new things.
