Elder Care in Lexington, Kentucky

For several years now I have been a caregiver. I started working when I was barely out of high school when I went to work at St Joseph Hospital nursing service. My past previous patient was a young 60 year old man with-Multiple system atrophy, or MSA, is a rare, degenerative neurological condition that affects both men and women, usually starting in the 50's or early 60's. The condition with MSA impairs the patients' motor ability to stand and walk properly. There is no known cure for MSA or Parkinson. Life expectancy is 7-10 years once diagnosed. With my daily assistance, I was needed mostly as someone he could talk to, help him go back and forth to the bathroom, every day reminder to take his medicine and feed him at lunch time.
