We require a compassionate and very kind-hearted caregiver, must be a non-smoker, to assist my 63 year old mother who is a recent cancer transplant patient with both daily living tasks and overall companionship. The ideal candidate will be available to work full time starting as soon as possible with providing daily care and support services while she is recovering in hospital till the end of January 2015. Thereafter we would ideally require someone to live-in with her for a few weeks till she is back on her feet. After that we would essentially move back to daily support services without the need for live-in come March. Overall companionship is the majority of the support needed at the moment while she’s still recovering in hospital, but once home the following would encompass the majority of the daily duties alongside companion and support services; - personal hygiene care/showers - dressing - helping with medications - preparing meals and assisting the client to eat and drink - measuring blood pressure - laundry - light housekeeping - some additional house chores - complete shift reports Preference is for an experienced care giver who has a valid driver’s licence and vehicle and be able to provide a current police clearance report.
