Elder Care Job in Portland, Oregon

We are hiring 2 caregivers for the following schedule: - Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:30am to 7:30pm - Tuesdays-Wednesdays-Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays 7:30am to 11:30am The ideal candidate will be able to provide person-centered care to five senior women. The essential functions of the job include: • assisting residents with personal care, medication administration, and transfers; • providing companionship and emotional support; • meal preparation; light housekeeping. Minimum experience, skills, and attributes: • A caring, patient, and compassionate attitude • Close to two years of full time experience providing direct care to older adults with physical disabilities and who required full assistance in 3 or more activities of daily living • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English • Pre-service dementia certificate and CPR/First Aid (we can help you get this) • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • A lifestyle that minimizes COVID-19 exposure (a commitment to keeping the residents safe)
