I have DSP 1 & 2 certificates. I'm First Aid/CPR certified. I have 10 years experience caring for seniors. I have experience working in a Level 4G residential care facility where all the clients were ambulatory. I assisted clients with daily living skills and personal care including: bathing, mouth care, dressing, haircare, feeding, toileting, medication, skin care, exercise. I ensure clients safety/security by supervising the home environment. Teach/Perform meal planning/preparation, routine housekeeping activities such as making/changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry. I provide companionship including social interactions, conversations, emotional reassurance and encouragement of activities that stimulate the mind. I provide respite care for families in accordance with care plans. I perform/assist with essential shopping/errands, which may include handling the client's money in accordance with the care plan and under the observation of the supervisor. I also worked for an agency as a companion, caregiver, home health aide, performing the same duties listed above.
