PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY: I have been a care giver for over 3 years now and love what I have chosen to do. I have experience with alzheimers and dementia patients , with a timely patient personality . I love being a care giver to my residents, I've grown fond of them and consider them part of my family. To be a care giver you must be a compassionate, loving person. You also must be able to handle stressful, high risk situations in a calm manor. As a care giver I've experienced all sorts of care for my residents, I help them with there daily needs including personal hygiene, dressing, rotating positions and transferring from chairs to bed. I also assist in there daily medication intake, cleaning, keeping in touch with family's and schdueling appointments when needed. Being a care giver is not just a paycheck to me , it's a passion. Putting aside all the daily tasks I help them with, I love hearing there life stories and everything they've experienced in there life time. I always have an ear open and a shoulder for them. I'm not just the one helping them, they are helping me learn and grown myself. I also have recent experience giving care to young adults with serve autisum and young adults who are mentally ill, I enjoying caring for all those and need and have experienced a lot of different behaviors and settings .
