Note: The Calgary Palliative Home Care team (RNs)observed the care that I provided to my mother and came to know me very well. They have offered to provide a reference if required. I was manager of the Adult Day Support Program at Kerby Centre in 2012 and left that role to provide end of life care for my mother for eight months. She was 88 years old and had lung cancer. My role at Kerby was to oversee all aspects of the day support for seniors 55 & older. The care and support that I provided my mother was in our home and included all levels of care (physical & emotional) that an ailing senior would required including administering medications. My interest now is to offer assistance to families in what ever area they require assistance. Post natal care, someone who is recovering from a surgical procedure or a senior(s) who requires assistance and/or would like to enjoy a better quality of life.
