Elder Care in Airdrie, Alberta

As my own parents got older and need that extra care and attention I was there for both of them. Through the struggles with memory loss to heart problems and strokes I was there to assist in every aspect of the journey. For over 6 years I battled with every small and large problem encountered by both parents. Eventually both were put in Long Term Care and I continued to care for them both in the fashion of, decorating their rooms with each changing season and event (as well as other residents rooms), entertaining them with crafts and things to do in LTC, taking them on outings always, washing their clothes, attending all functions and getting to know all the other residents who had NO ONE visiting them. Both my husband and I became the faces they looked for each day we visited. I tried to be there everyday and if I couldn't my husband would fill in for me. It made their final years do-able and I wouldn't trade my time there for anything although I must admit somedays were very stressful. In no way can I compare my experience to anything that was as rewarding.
