Cindy is kind, conscientious, reliable, and interesting to talk with. And100% trustworthy. She has been making our lives easier for longer than I can remember - but, at least 8 years and maybe 10. In all that time she has never missed a day. On the few occasions she had to reschedule ... it was due to family commitments - notably, for the purposes of this reference - to take her father-in-law to appointments or to care for him. A few years ago, I recommended Cindy to a friend who's mother needed some help at home. Cindy did more than just take care of the house for my friend's mom…she kept an eye out for her, too. Cindy is a great choice to take care of anyone's mom or dad. If / when I needed someone to take care of parents, I wouldn't hesitate to ask Cindy. If you have any questions or if it would make you feel more comfortable to have a chat, don't hesitate to call.

We found Cynthia here on Eldercare.com. Cynthia worked with my Mom and our family, and the experience was very positive. She is very dependable and can be counted on. She is extremely hard working and has a bright personality and genuinely cares about the person she is working with. Our Mom met Cynthia prior to her being hired and chose her herself. Various tasks and assistance she provided. From assistance with bathing, exercises, medications, laundry, running errands, making sure Mom was eating, driving her to appointments, some cleaning etc. It has been a terrific experience and we now view Cynthia, through our experience as a caregiver, as a family friend.

To whom it may concern: Cynthia has been providing in home care for my aging brother for the past five and a half years. He unfortunately suffered from the effects of early onset Alzheimer’s and its many complications. Additionally; he had diabetes, kidney difficulties, and other related aging ailments as time progressed. Cynthia areas of responsibility included the following key elements: • Transportation to doctors, dental appointments, shopping, senior’s activity center, family social activities and birthday parties. • Assisting my brother with many daily activities that arise associated with Alzheimer’s: such as memory loss, preforming familiar tasks, the misplacing of items- to name a few that can cause a great deal of frustration for your charge. • Monitoring blood sugar levels. • Administering medications, as prescribed for daily intake. • Understanding kidney function and level as identified by his doctor. • Healthy grocery shopping. • Maintaining healthy meal intake, including meal preparation. • Daily and weekly personal hygiene care. • Shopping for medical supplies and prescriptions. • Laundry services as required. • Care, understanding and comfort. • Monitoring household temperatures. • Monitoring safety and eliminating slips, trips, and falling possibilities. Throughout Cynthia’s time with my brother, I found her to be exceptionally professional in her care, thorough, understanding, patient, reliable, efficient and always willing to extend her commitment when the unexpected situation arose. Cynthia’s communication to the family was easy to understand. A good example of Cynthia’s desire to better understand my brother’s medical conditions; she took several nurse lead training sessions at Scarborough General Hospital during this opportunity. Cynthia’s successes were key in keeping my brother in his own home for as long as possible, thus meeting his wishes. She was greatly appreciated by everyone in the family. Should you have any questions of Cynthia’s abilities please do not hesitate to call me. Sincerely John Cassidy
