Elder Care in Regina, Saskatchewan

Dear Sir/Ma’am, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and I am a proud Caregiver! I am a highly motivated individual, professional and with personal experience caring for an elder. I my self have an 81 years old grandmother and a 79 years old grandfather who lives together with me for over 20 years. I took care of their daily needs such as preparation of a healthy meal, their medications and assists with personal hygiene. I sometimes walk them out to get some fresh air and to aid them in their exercise. A number of times on a weekend, I also volunteer my self to do community services like feeding program and teaching English because I love to help those who are in need, those who do not know how to read and write, out of school youth and street children too. Currently, I am a call centre agent in an insurance firm, I work at night and I help out my grandparents during the day. I am good at multitasking, I am strong, prudent and coordinated. I even recently attended a safety occupational program to help me with my passion and in return I can also help my client and their family in reducing risks for any injuries at home. What I can offer you: •I can be a SAFETY OFFICER at home. I know the do’s and don’ts during emergencies such as earth quake, hailstorm or fires. •Prepared; I have several hands on experience using FIRST AID and CPR. •I have an intern experience in giving MEDICATIONS and vitamins, therefore, we can avoid giving the wrong medications, wrong timing and frequency. •I am 29 years old, STRONG and fit. I can lift up to a sack of rice and can carry clients in need to be transfer to a bed or wheelchair. •I am trained with THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATIONS which means I can handle someone who is angry, crying and/or depress. •I can attend in their EMOTIONAL well-being by always showing them that I will be there no matter what. •I value the word TRUST, therefore, it is important to build rapport. •I can assist in bathing, personal hygiene and exercise. •I can assist and accompany them walking outside for fresh air. •I can cook simple meals but I am willing to learn other recipes that my clients like. •I can do small fixes at home such as stopping a small leaks. •I can clean the house and bathrooms. •I can iron and press and do the laundry. •I can drive or walk them for check ups. I have a driver’s licence in the Philippines. •I am perky, happy and upbeat. I laugh out loud and I am a fitness enthusiast. •I can do all other services expected of a caregiver with a package of incorporating my knowledge as a Bachelor’s degree. My personal and professional experience has boosted my patience to its maximum. I am someone who can work under pressure and I am willing to follow house rules.
