I have never worked for an elder care facility but have spent the last ten years caring for my aging parents. My dad had Alzheimer's and was able to stay home with mom for two years in a wheelchair with my help then went on to Morrisview. My mom couldn't drive so I took her for groceries and doctors appointments and visits to see my dad for years. They both have just passed and I feel I have a nurturing soft spot for these wonderful older folk and could help a family due to my flexible bookkeeping job. I don't have any nursing experience just a lot of experience in nursing homes.
