Elder Care in La Mirada, California

I am a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Licensed in California. I work full-time during the school year; (I'm hoping to not have to work summer school). I went to school for OT because my of my passion for the elderly; however, due to my family situation (I am married with four school-age children), I've been working in pediatrics as my primary employment. I have over 25 years of experience caring for seniors, people with special needs and/or typically developing children, (19 of those years as an OT). I am accustomed to working 2 jobs at a time; for the past 7 years I've worked per diem in skilled nursing facilities, (hours typically ranged from 20-25 hours per week). I'm currently looking for part-time and/or occasional employment as a caregiver. (Obviously due to my profession), I'm able to assist with ADLs, light house cleaning, light cooking and driving. I am able to provide you with numerous references, both professional and personal, upon request. Additionally, I love animals, I am more than happy to assist with pets, (I lived on a small farm for a few years and do miss it at times)! I am somewhat flexible with driving distance and pay rate.
