Overview: Nice to meet you! My name is Lori. I'm looking for a senior care provider work opportunity in Spruce Grove, Alberta. My aim is to apply my abilities as candidate. I will work part or full-time as required. Services And Training: I have had previous experience working for a dementia client ( 5 months ) prior to her being placed in memory care. The duties included bathing/hygiene, taking her for shopping and outings (meeting with friends or to church), attending sit fit classes, medical appointments, cooking meals with her and for her, medication reminders, house cleaning and laundry. My goal was to provide her with an as normal of a life as possible, engaging in games, sorting tasks (folding laundry, sorting coins and cards). I hold a BLS Provider certificate from the Heart and Stroke Foundation, however I will have to renew as it expires at the end of this month ( March 2023 ) I also had the opportunity to be the caregiver for my Mother prior to her passing from COPD and my father prior to his passing at the age of 98. I live in Calahoo, which is an easy commute of approximately 22 minutes to Spruce Grove. I am self motivated, hardworking, honest and patient. I gravitate toward the elderly as I believe they deserve the best life has to offer as they become more dependent due to declining health and cognitive abilities, as well as living in a fast paced and every changing world which is intimidating at times. I am available to work the hours as posted on this site, with occasional overnight respite care if needed. I would appreciate some flexibility, as mentioned, if you were to consider hiring me. I am available to start work on April 1st.
