Kapadi Vijaydas is a very devoted and committed caregiver. He cared for my 90 year old father, a widower who was in need for help with all his daily routines. Vijaydas lived with my father in his house and cared for him 24/7 supporting him in all manners possible. He was employed in this capacity for three years and seven months, during the period of December 2013 – July 2017. Vijaydas did everything at my father's house – from general managing of the household, to caring for all the physical and medical needs of my father. My father's cognitive and memory functions were gradually deteriorating, and he became completely dependent on Vijaydas. Vijaydas could be trusted to perform all daily chores dutifully and reliably. He was entirely independent, running everything promptly and always thinking one step forward. He was always available to help my father with everyday life activities: bathing him, keeping him groomed, feeding him. He was also very meticulous and responsible regarding the medical care of my father, accompanying him to hospital and GP and looking after his medication in a very caring manner. He was also very responsible at the end of his employment, helping my father cope with the emotional aspects of the separation and assisting the new caregiver for a smooth transition.
