Elder Care in Vancouver, British Columbia

I am Ezenia L. Nerpio, fondly called “Aanya”. I was born in Philippines. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Management and Industrial Engineering and formerly employed as Computer Operator. I took my Care-giving course at Sharp Karilagan Training Academy, an accredited agency by TESDA, from July 2002 to January 2003. I completed the course and rendered on the job training at “Tahanan ng Walang Hagdanan” (The House with no Stairs), an institution managed by Missionaries for disabled persons. My Care-giving course involves training in child care, elderly care, hospice care, personality development, nutrition, medical terminologies and some fundamentals of anatomy and physiology. I also took the First Aid Training and Basic Life Support Training (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR for Healthcare Providers) conducted by the National Red Cross in the Philippines. I could best describe myself as a loving and friendly person. What separates me from other caregivers is my sincere dedication of taking care of person who cannot take care of themselves especially elderly whom I believe needs more attention and deserves to be happy during the twilight years of their lives. I can communicate and understands the patient properly being articulate and have a clearer understanding of the English language. I’ve been in Israel for more than 3 years. And worked here in Vancouver for more than 4 years now, thinking that it offers more job opportunities and benefits to Caregiver like me. I feel that I will be more secured and safer in this country because I heard of the hospitality and good traits your countrymen have. My patience, perseverance and being matured are qualities I think that cannot be set aside upon. I am most willing to prove my worth as a Caregiver to and among your countrymen who needs my services.
