Elder Care in Calgary, Alberta

Hello there, my name is Petra. I\'ve been taking care of my elderly mother-in-law who was sick for a long time and I was helping her with basic care, such as preparing her meals, light housekeeping, shopping, helping her shower, dress, give her medication. When she\'s in hospital, I was visiting her every day to spend some time and let her know that we care, which, I think, is the most important thing. I\'ve been also working with other seniors with various needs, helping them to stay as independent as possible and make their life little easier. I find this work rewarding and I feel that there are other seniors who need help with things that are too difficult to manage for them, who need somebody to take them out for a walk, see their doctor or do their shopping, or just read a book or have a talk. And that\'s why I\'m here. I've been taking care of seniors with various level of need of help, preparing food, doing laundry, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, helping with bathing, skin care, getting dressed/undressed, taking them out shopping, visiting places of their interest or just getting some fresh air on walks.
