Hello there
I'm currently a recreational therapist in a long term care setting. In the long term care setting I am responsible for maintaining and improving resident's quality of life by providing programs in all domains of health (social, emotional, physical, intellectual.) I provide one to one interventions for residents, and assist with meal times.
I also work in an adult day program where I do the same thing as I do in the long term care setting along with providing personal care, such as toileting and assisting with meal time. In both care settings I have dealt with many different diagnoses, behaviours and diseases.
