Hello Family, I am Josephine and I have a diploma in Psycholgy and a formal training in Elderly caregiving. I have knowledge in handling cases like Stroke/Aphasic clients as I can understand therapy and can even design a module in the areas of fine, gross and speech skills or abilities. I can do assessment and verbatim report and can participate in the Rehab Team so I may be able to provide intervention therapy at home. And can definitely perform day to day activities such as providing care and attention like preparing meals, medication assistance, and good companionship. I am very compassionate person. I also have a certificate in Live-In-Caregiver-Program, where we learned more about elderlycare, childcare, firstaid, and housekeeping. I had an exposure taking care of elderly in a Retirement Village and they are retired Priest. Typical routine is like giving assistance during meals and attending to medications and providing companionship. I also have exposure handling Aphasic/Stroke patient where I consider very challenging. My job is to get myself engaged to my clients rehab team, from Neurologist down to Dietician. This job gave a better chance to deliver my knowledge in psychology as well as teaching because I technically design a speak therapy module for my client. Both experiences gave me tremendous sense of fulfilment.
