Elder Care in Edenton, North Carolina

To whom it may concern: I am actively seeking employment as a caregiver for geriatric patients where I can put my compassionate nature and caring skills to good use, while also allowing potential clients to live their lives to the fullest. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am currently 74 years old and live in Edenton, North Carolina. Over the years I have held a variety of jobs from being a secretary, a mother of two active sons, to even a business owner. None have compared to the experiences I have had as a caregiver for three amazing women. Empathy and compassion for others is the essence of my personality, which is why caregiving is an ideal career path for me. Being able to manage and deal with individuals from various backgrounds and with different degrees of disability can be a tedious task, but I give unique attention to each client to make sure their varying needs are met, while also offering companionship. I make sure my assigned area remains clean and tidy. In addition to helping patients with their daily activities, I can also perform light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, washing dishes, ironing, changing bed linens, doing laundry, preparing healthy meals, and monitoring the clients to ensure they are receiving proper nutrition. I require a flexible schedule and prefer to travel to client homes. I have outstanding time management skills with an ability to multi-task to take care of all required duties. I have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation, so I can run errands, shop and take the clients to and from medical appointments.
