Elder Care in Hamilton, Montana

I am seeking a position that allows me to use my skills as a companion and caregiver to the elders of our community. I have over 16 years of experience in caregiving for elders. At this time, I am looking for a position as a companion; to provide a watchful presence, good company and a deep appreciation of the stories and experiences that each elder brings. I offer a listening ear as well as the skills to meet the various and uniquely individual requirements of each elder. It is my personal mission to bring to the elders a companionship that includes the capacity to be present to their moment by moment concerns, as well as to encourage enjoyable and engaging activities. I am currently hoping to find a part time position of 3 consecutive days at around 16 to 20 hours/week. If needed, I enjoy the teamwork of job sharing in order to cover the needs of any client. Fern is smart, compassionate, caring, calm and calming. She became part of our family in short order. Fern knew exactly when to jump in and when to step back. In the end Mom could not care for herself but Fern took care of her everything while being patient, positive, soothing and cheerful.
