Elder Care in Hamilton, Ontario

I am Alissa, a live-out elder care provider in Hamilton, Ontario. I offer part-time companion, hospice, respite, home care and personal care services. I am CPR certified and can provide medications and therapeutic bathing as needed. I have a deep understanding and respect for the needs of seniors, as well as a compassionate heart and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives. My goal is to provide a level of care that goes beyond the basics. I have been with 2 people during end of life care, I believe people should have their dignity always stay in tact and never compromised. Our elders are to be respected and treated well and honored. I grew up where I provided respite care to elderly when I moved here tried to volunteer at nursing home but felt the level of care was appalling and they were treated with no respect for their person and were treated like they weren’t people and I couldn’t be part of that. Eventually I will like to go back to my community to provide services to people who cannot afford it by volunteering. I do not want any more than $20 an hour as our elders deserve to live at home or with their kids until the end and not be in hospitals or nursing homes if we can help it.
