Good afternoon! My name is Jocelyn Egbalic Lafuente, and I was born on 19th January 1973 in the Philippines. I come from a fairly poor family, but the through hard work of my father, I managed to get an all round education, and went on to graduate with a degree in home economics. I grew up in a very happy household, along with my three sisters, and after losing our mother when I was 9 years old - we learned to love each other and become independent people. I am married to a loving husband, who currently cares for our daughter, whilst I work overseas to be able to provide a better future for her. I am in constant contact with my daughter and husband via the internet and phone calls.... of course I miss them dearly! I would describe myself as an honest, responsible, optimistic and hard working person. I have a positive outlook on life, and am very capable of managing my workload without supervision. I enjoy caring for my current employers, and show compassion and dedication in my role. In my spare time I like to read, and read anything I can find - all in English! I also enjoy craftwork and find origami to be good for relaxing. I love to cook, and love to try out different recipes - I have learnt a lot bout Cypriot cooking since working here. I love pets, and have experience in taking care of them - having had a small dog in the Philippines. I care for an elderly gentleman plus his sister and her husband here. I tend to their every need and I am a constant to them. I take care of all of the household chores including food preparation, changing bed linens, laundry and ironing, grocery shopping, caring for the plants and ensuring the entire house is clean and tidy.
