Elder Care in Edmonton, Alberta

I'm an
Individual
Summary: Hello my name is Lee. I am looking for an elderly care provider position in Edmonton, Alberta. I strive to be a careful, reliable candidate. My availability is flexible although I'm much more suited to daytime hours as I am not a night person. I am a 61 year old lady with a university degree in Environmental Science and worked professionally for many years. Description of Skills: I am comfortable doing personal care, dressing and wounds, being a companion, housekeeping, meal preparation and taking to appointments. I have a valid Alberta drivers license and drive a mini-van so am able to transport wheelchairs etc. I have a year of senior care giving through a senior care company in Kelowna and have had clients ranging from younger but terminally ill to elderly couples (respite from each other!), single people, and even just someone who needed a ride to take her cat to a vet. Many of my clients had some degree of dementia so I have had some experience in that realm. Let's Connect: Call me through this website and I'll respond ASAP!

Recommendations

Jenny S

I have known Lee for over 15 years. I have both worked with and supervised Lee during her time in Environmental Consulting. Her enthusiasm, common sense, and desire to make things better was always an asset, when I wanted to get something accomplished on my projects. I highly recommend her as a caregiver to others. Lee has lots of personality and is a lot of fun to be around in routine, or even difficult circumstances. That is why our relationship as colleagues at work developed into a long-term friendship. Lee is not only a caring person; she is also very capable. Whether she is doing her own home repairs, sewing her own clothes, or helping out a friend, she always has a lot to offer, because she has a lot of practical skill sets. Jenny Sanderson MSc.
