Hi! I am Ellen. I would like to express my desire to apply for the CAREGIVER/ COMPANION position. I am a very caring and loving person, patient, compassionate and understanding. I am also prayerful and God-fearing and can be trusted in all ways. Having 10 years of experience in eldercare I administer medication and ensure regular hygiene. I engage them in meaningful conversations as well as in leisure activities they prefer. I have attended to patients with Parkinson's, Dementia, COPD, cancer, loss of vision, heart failure, scoliosis, diabetes and arthritis. I am an also Certified Dementia Care Provider by the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto and had taken good care of five patients with Dementia. I have a Bachelor's degree, a Certified CPR/First Aider and a Certified Food Handler. I can also perform household duties such as cleaning, laundry, grocery/errands, cooking and administrative tasks, as needed.
